What made you decide to be a producer?

It was something I wanted to get into but I never thought to take it seriously until a producer friend and I started talking about setting up a studio and a production company.

From then on I put together a few tracks and got a good response from people. That's when the journey began..

How do girls react to you when they find out what you do?

Its a mixed reaction. Some don't care because everyone is trying to be in the music industry and so the novelty has kinda worn off and others wanna know who i've worked with, etc.

I don't get girl throwing themselves at me though.

Do you have a favourite collaboration, and why?

My favorite collaboration has to be with Darren B.
Writing and producing songs just come so easy and all are top quality.

Do you prefer love songs or club beats?

It depends on my mood really. I guess ultimately it would be love songs. I love to hear chords, string arrangements and good strong vocals in a track.

What do you think of Timbaland?

Timbaland is like my musical father. I've learnt so much from him.
He's very innovative and not afraid to experiment with sounds an genres that most of us won't dare to do for fear of not getting airplay.

What advice do you have for young producers looking up to you?

I'd say get some basic piano lessons if you can't already play because that would enable you to expand your productions. Choose your equipment carefully, they are your tools you will use to paint your musical picture.
But ultimately strive for excellence and just do you.

Natalia – "Pretty like me"
A very nice, danceable tune but I wouldn’t call it an RnB classic, it tends to go into the pop-rock genre, making it potentially less attractive to diehard fans of soul and RnB.

As far as it being a single Natalia’s “Cookie jar” and “Perfect day” seem closer to the urban music lover's taste.  Nevertheless “Pretty like me”  is still good music though, worth a listen. myspace.com/nataliaofficial Boom rating 3.5

Stevie Hoang - "Addicted"
This guy takes you back in time. For those of us who like the generic RnB smooth and sexy sound of RnB Steve Hoang gives you just that.

Very well written with excellent production this single (and the rest of the album “This is me” which includes songs like “No games”) is worth residing on your mp3 player.  .He is the number on artist on the UK MySpace RnB chart for a reason!

Kay B "Look no further"

Kay B – “Cheaters dilemma
After hitting No. 1 on MTV base with “Call Cupid” this crooner releases another hit.  A very sweet melody sung with a very tender sort of passion.

This release will make you dance but at the same time it touches a very important aspect of relationships. It is produced in a quite generic way but still has that unique sound that makes it UK R&B. Another must have.

Rashelle – "Blindfold"
Now we are talking about sex music. This song is a definite turn on. And a club banger.  Strong production with sensual vocals.

Rashelle is comfortable on the dance floor and she obviously knows how to make dancers feel at home.  “Blindfold” is actually a dancer’s song with a very infectious rhythm.

Icecold – “Yeah
These guys have a very interesting sound in their vocals . A mixture of rappers and singers they definitely have a unique selling point.

The song could still have been better produced because it does not do justice to the act’s ability . Conclusion: talented group, good song . a bit more work wouldn’t hurt.

Craig David- "6 on 1 thing"
Ok so he’s grown up. And change whether it’s for good or bad it is for you to decide . “6 on 1 thing “ is not the Craig David we’re used to. Not as infectious as “7 days” or “Fill me in”.

So if you love him you will probably enjoy it for the fact that it is Craig but otherwise you will need to adjust yourself to his new reinvented self. myspace.com/craigdavid Boom rating 3.5

EC – "All I C"
So EC wants take over the world. This track has the attitude that could make Omarion insecure.

Very simple but effective production, very confident vocals combined to make one of the best releases for 2008.  A necessity for your car stereo, definitely.

Darren B- "Stand by you"!
Stand by you”, the soulful single from UK R&B artist, Darren B is melting the hearts of women worldwide! He sounds a bit like Joe, with his voice being very sultry and soothing;

This is the kind of song for romantic moments, His vocals throughout the whole song are flawless and passionate. a perfect serenade.

Cherri V "Between the sheets"
Between the sheets” is a seductive track with a rocky undertone that will get you on the dance floor.

Her strong vocals power through the song to really get your groove on. Her own description of her music is “Rock meets R&B and pop” .This song will give her a comfortable place in 2008.
